As my program has grown these last few years, I have decided to steer it towards competition-based training.
We are designed to help riders reach their goals in the show ring! We work hard to build strong foundations, so when riders are ready to show, they go down centerline with confidence. Our riders’ ages range from young riders through retired-aged adults, but they ALL have one thing in common: to compete and continue advancing through the levels in whichever discipline they ride! Our facility also hosts clinics, horse shows, and is available to send your horse for training with Jes.
Lesson Rules and Courtesies:
Helmets and signed liability forms are required for riders of all ages at Livin A Dream Farm.
Make sure you have received confirmation for your allotted lesson time(s) via the team’s weekly scheduling email. If you do not see your name or a time by your name please contact Jes immediately.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your lesson, you run the risk of losing that lesson and being asked to reschedule
If you are unable to attend a lesson, please let Jes know ATLEAST one hour before your scheduled lesson time to avoid being charged for that lesson
Any no call, no shows will result in required payment for your missed lesson.
First Month Membership Discount:
$150/$35 - Memberships are a requirement for the use of a team schooling pony. First time members will receive a discount for their first month in the lesson program. The introductory price for your first month is $150 for four lessons in total. Any additional lessons you would like to receive in your first month are an additional $35 per lesson.
Becoming a Riding School Member (February-November):
$200/$45 - After your first month, monthly lessons are $200 per month upfront for four lessons in total on a team schooling pony, and any additional lessons during the month are $45 per lesson after your first four lessons. Please scroll down for membership regulations.
Regular Lessons and Off-Season (December/January):
$75/$50 -For any riders looking to take lessons intermittently, we offer individually priced lessons at $75 per lesson, or if you are a monthly member using a team schooling pony who wants to lesson during our “off season” we offer lessons at $50 per lesson. This “pay as you go” offer is best for the casual rider looking for a tune up once and a while, or for the rider looking to stay in the saddle during the busy holiday season.
Lesson Packs and Travel:
$250/$500 - Lesson packs are offered five lessons for $250 or ten lessons (+1 free - only applicable to this pack option - 11 total) for $500. This option is best for independent riders with their own horses, or for riders with multiple horses looking to customize their training schedule. The pack lessons are good for haul in lessons with your own horse(s) or training rides at our facility for your horse(s). Jes will travel for lessons/training to a barn with approval from the owner at no extra travel fee so long as she has A MINIMUM of two lessons/training rides at said facility. If she travels for only one lesson/training ride, there will be an additional travel fee added to the lesson price. Maximum travel radius is within a 30-minute drive of Livin A Dream Farm.
Open Rides:
This is ONLY offered to riders in our program who are looking to get more saddle time at a more affordable cost on one of our schooling ponies - the price for “open rides” is $25 per ride. We also offer “open rides” in exchange for work around the farm! Independence, time in the saddle, and self-sufficiency are what creates a stronger, more well-rounded rider! Open rides are scheduled week by week and are limited depending on the workload of schooling ponies. Each open ride will be supervised by an adult; however, a rider will be fully independent in the saddle for 20-25 minutes. This allows the rider to gain confidence and practice the skills that they learn during their lessons in an independent manner. Note: riders will be briefed in advance on what is or is not allowed during their open ride.
Customizable Training at Livin A Dream Farm:
Please reach out to receive a custom quote for additional lesson options, lease options, training ride options, or in-house training/board options. We are fortunate to have a full barn of young horses, schooling horses and competition horses; however, we DO have the additional space for bringing horses in on short term training as well! A reminder, we are NOT a boarding facility.
Coaching/Clinic Fees:
When attending a horse show if you would like coaching or training, I offer day shows at $90 per person, or weekend shows at $150 per person. Travel fees vary and are determined by mileage and how many team riders are competing. To host me as a clinician, day clinics are $90 per person, and weekend clinics are $150 per person. Travel fees vary and are determined by mileage, days, and number of riders participating in the clinic.
Regulations:
If you no longer wish to participate in the riding program, you must give a one-month notice of cancellation. Typically, when you are a part of the riding school program, you will receive a weekly lesson day/time slot that you may change as needed. Lesson times vary on availability for both riders and schooling ponies. Lessons are offered during the day/evening all days except Sundays and Mondays. If you miss a lesson, you have one month from the date you missed to make up that lesson. Missed lessons cannot be rolled over after the one month make up time frame. Just like any other sport, practice and consistency yields progress! This structure for lessons allows for more consistency for the riders, and more accountability to maintain that consistency. For any questions or to sign up, please reach out!
